Piou-Piou, I agree, the West is so behind when it comes to cosmetic formulas. It’s all fluff. They create a basic formula, put one-star ingredient and that’s it. So glad you have more options with astaxanthin. It really is a star ingredient!

I saw there some affordable lines from Kose and Hada Labo, which I plan to experiment soon.
So far, I got lovely results with Too Cool for School’s Gory Sleeping Mask (KB names… I know!!!), sometimes mixed with a few drops of my beloved Pai rosehip oil in winter. On its own, TCFS’s mask gave me that baby smooth and bouncy skin that beats easily any ‘I woke like this’ Instagram filter LOL

Unfortunately, we’re lagging behind in Europe when it comes to cosmetic technology… Stuff that has been around for ages in JB or KB are a few decades later touted as the new breakthrough ingredient in the West at shocking prices (think about dragon blood for ex.).
Maybe in 2 decades, formulation will be up to speed, once they realize that 1 star ingredient may not suffice lol

Still, it’s really nice that you’ve found and verified brands that produce reliable astaxanthin prods at a reasonable price point.
Good job and many thanks Gio ???

Perthrosupplies, I have pale skin but I haven’t turned flamingo yet. It’just depends on how much astaxanthin you’re getting. A little won’t change your colour but will still provide some extra benefits.

Or Donald Trump, depending on shade.

decisions, decisions. I guess maybe this is one of those things that likely works better (appearance-wise) on people who aren’t so pale?
