In reply to Leanne. Leanne, products high in silicones can cause piling when layered with sunscreen. It really depends on the formula, so there's no way of knowing this will happen to you until you try it. If it happens, you can always use Vitamin C in the morning.

I like the sounds of this! But I am not sure about using silicones in the morning. Does it affect the adherence / evenness of sunscreen? I have read an article in the past that suggested sunscreen does not go on evenly over silicone.

Great post Gio! I just got this cream, full size as a complementary gift, when I made an online purchase of some cosmetics. I searched the reviews and that’s how I found this post and your site.
So, it is clear that this cream has to be applied first and only after that some moisturizer, however, non water-based one. My questions in regards to that are:
1) Which non water-based moisturizes would you recommend for combination skin for a 45-50yr age person?
2) Would applying this C24 cream first and than waiting some time before applying a moisturizer (for Vit. C to do what it supposed to do) make sense, and if so what is the waiting period?

In reply to Andrea Brough. Andrea, it really depends how sensitive your skin is. This uses a very high concentration of vitamin C and if you've never used this ingredient before, it could seriously dry out and irritate your skin. Especially when used with tretinoin. But if you're a vitamin C pro, you may be able to tolerate it.
