Melissa, a good cleanser will remove excess oil. A mud mask is for when your skin’s so oily, it needs the extra help.

Andrew, I’ve hard a few people complain about the sting, but for me it was very mild and lasted only a few seconds. Sorry to hear it was much worse for you.

Geo, clay masks can certainly help absorb excess oil a little, but they’re not miracle workers. If budget is a concern, you can leave them out or get the cheapest option available. Money is always better spent on leave on products.

I also like Miracle Revival Mud Mask from Miracle Skin Transformer and Clinique’ s Acne Solutions Oil Control Cleansing Mask with Salicylic Acid. I sorta kinda feel like they don’t actually do that much for my skin, but I use them anyway. Do you think they are effective and worth the effort and price or better to spend time and money on for products you leave on for half the day?
